The Guide

The guide is an 88-page publication offering a very detailed

page by page map of the canal from Brecon down to Five Locks,

with extra maps also covering the currently un-navigable sections

of the canal.  These maps show all facility locations along the canal and the road layouts in the immediate vicinity of the canal. On the opposite page you will find an interesting narrative of that section and nearby places of interest to explore.

Details of pubs and restaurants near the canal are also listed on each page, together with other useful facilities in the area.

In the first few pages you will find a detailed history of the canal, instruction on how to use the locks and general information specific to this canal. Changes to the canal or local facilities will be added to the update sheet as they occur so your guide can be kept up to date by downloading this here or from the home page.
